About our school in English

Let us introduce our school to you.

We are a small (2 in 1) school of about 600 students, primary school pupils aged 6 - 12, and junior high school ones aged 13 - 16. Our 50 highly-qualified teachers use varied, stimulating methods to do their best to provide us with not only good education but also friendly atmosphere in which we achieve our small and great successes. Our pupils learn English and German.
The school location near the geological nature reserve "Kadzielnia" with one of the most beautiful amphitheatres in Poland is undoubtedly an attraction . Scouts' Music Festival of a long tradition is held there every summer. Our building is also situated in the neighbourhood of unique landscape parks: Karczówka, Telegraf which are our local, regional tourist attractions. That is why, ecology is an important element of our education. Together with Polish environmental and ecological associations, we organize trips, tours, competitions, etc.
We promote healthy lifestyle and following modern trends, we opened new classes with sports specialization. The students achieve successes, win cups and are getting popular in our Świętokrzyski region. The disciplines are football, handball and cross-country running. We have access to nearby stadiums and recreational parks.
In 2003 we started a European School Club "Eurostrada 10" and started cooperating with other young people from all over Europe.
We have joined European educational programs, though we don’t have the Club anymore.

In 2004/2005 we had a successful E-Twinning program with primary schools in Finland, Great Britain, Romania and Slovakia. We exchanged postcards, posters, used a special computer program for the youngest kids.

From 2005 to 2008 together with schools from Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and Sweden we carried out Comenius multilateral project “Getting European Identity”. We received a certificate of a “Good Practice”.

From 2009 to 2011 we worked on Comenius project "Nutrition through time" with five schools from Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Lithuania and Spain.
The project was great and ambitious and dealt with different aspects of food including history, geography, demography, economy etc.

From 2011 to 2013 we had a partnership with Romania, Turkey and Bulgaria. We found out about similarities and differences among our countries doing  Comenius LLP project “ The World Through Our Eyes”.

Between 2013 and 2015 we cooperated with Bulgaria, Estonia, Greece, Portugal and Romania doing Comenius project “Crossing Bridges from Past to Present”. Pupils had fun, learned and taught their peer pupils about history and culture of each other’s countries.

In 2016 we are starting a new challenge, a new adventure, a new project Erasmus Plus 2016-2019 “Sharing Treasures for a Better Future” with Romania, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Spain and Italy.

We are always ready to join new partnerships for yet another interesting adventure across Europe.

Our students have benefitted a lot from European co-operation. The advantages of such contacts are multiple and we are happy that foreign schools found out about our existence, plans and hopes. It was an interesting experiment for our students and pupils from abroad to express their ideas in English. We are ready for new projects, new challenges and new friendships. We always work hard, have lots of ideas, and for sure we can contribute greatly. Both teachers of our school and our pupils wish to learn about history, traditions, culture and other aspects of life in  countries of European Union or in their regions.
If you are interested, get in touch with us.

Best wishes, Bye
